HOW TO INSTALL FEDORA MANULLY

Today We Are Going 2 See How to Install Fedora Manully i.e Manual Creation of Partition !
i m going to Post All The Picture's of installation Process ! And i m Doing it on Virtual Machine ! But Same Process Will be Follow For Dual Boot Also ! :)

1st Step : CREATE NEW VIRTUAL MACHIN


2nd Step : GO TO NEXT AND CLICK ON 3rd RADIO BUTTON


3rd Step : SELECT YOUR OS And VERSION >> LINUX 2.6.x


4th Step : GIVE THE NAME OF YOUR MACHINE And SELECT DESTINATION FOLDER


5th Step : NOW GIVE THE SIZE TO YOUR OS AND MAKE IT SINGLE OR SPLIT


6th Step : NOW CLICK ON FINISH OR CHANGE H/W SETTING AS U R NEED


7th Step : NOW SELECT YOUR MACHINE AND EDIT MACHINE SETTING


8th Step : GO TO CD/DVD And Click ON USE ISO IMAGE And NAVIGATE Your FEDORA OS IMAGE


9th Step : NOW SAVE ALL SETTING AND Start YOUR VIRTUAL OS


NOW PRESS ENTER , HERE YOUR OS INSTALLATION PART GET STARTED
(For Dual Booting Follow From This Step After Booting Your PD or CD)


10th Step : PRESS SKIP HERE , No Need of IT !


11th Step :  SELECT YOUR LANGUAGE For INSTALLATION PORCESS


12th Step : NOW SELECT KEYBOARD INPUT METHOD


13th Step : SELECT BASIC STORAGE DEVICE 


14th Step : CLICK ON DISCARD ANY DATA FOR VIRTUAL USER , FOR DUAL BOOTERS KEEP DATA :D


15th Step : TYPE YOUR HOST NAME >> Anything !


16th Step : SELECT YOUR LOCATION


17th Step : SET PASSWORD For ROOT USER


18th Step : FOR MANUAL SELECT >> CREATE CUSTOM LAYOUT
Otherwise YOU Can ANYTHING AS PER YOUR NEED !


19th Step : NOT ITS TIME TO MAKE PARTITION >> SELECT CREATE


MAINLY YOU HAVE TO MAKE FOLLOWING DIRECTORY : 

1 : /
2 : /boot
3 : /home
4 : /var
5 : /tmp
6 : /opt
7 : /usr/local

SWAP ARWA
BIOS-BOOT

Here m Making 4-5 Dir ! You Can Repeat IT For Other's

20th Step : CREATE STANDARD PARTITION THEN GO TO NEXT STEP 

MOUNT POINT >> /
File Type System >> ext4
Size >> 10240 (i m giving it 10 GB)


SAME PROCESS REPEAT FOR OTHER DIRECTORY WITH FOLLOWING SIZE

/boot >> 80 MB
/home >> 2048 MB
/tmp >> 2048 MB
/opt >> 1024 MB
/var >> 2048 MB
/usr/local >> 1024 MB

Above Size Are Not Fixed You Can Change IT AS PER YOUR NEED :)

21th Step : CREATING SWAP AREA

File Type System >> swap
Size >> 1024 MB (1/2 Of Your RAM)


22th Step : CREATING BOOT LOADER

File Type System >> BIOS Boot
Size >> 2 MB


After Creating All The Partition You Can See Picture Link THIS




23rd Step : NOW GO TO FORWARD CLICK ON FORMAT


24th Step : CONFIRM WRITE CHANGES TO DISK


25th Step : Generally Now Click Next All The Step's As Predefiend Selection! :)


AND FINALLY YOUR INSTALLATION WILL START :)


AFTER INSTALLATION IT WILL REBOOT THE OS AND START WITH GRUB MENU
HERE SELECT FEDORA :)


PRESS ENTER AND DONE ! :) 
YOU ARE IN YOUR FEDORA OS !!

I’m going to show you the fun part here. Its up to the readers to act in an ethical way. First you need the Angry IP Scanner. Download it from here http://www.angryip.org/w/Download . This is a simple tool that scans for a range of Live IP Addresses and identifies user specified open ports. So I downloaded the 32-bit Beta version. This doesn’t require any installation. Just download and run it. When you open the tool you can see options to set IP ranges for scanning. I’m a BSNL Dataone Broadband user and I wanted to find out the vulnerable cameras in my locality. So I start with my IP Address. Just go to Google and Search ‘My IP’. You will get your IP address. By the way I’m not stopping you from find your IP using ipconfig command like a geek.
